 For diarrhea and dysentery, the leaves are smashed, and boiled in water for 10-15mins. It is left to cool and drunk 2 glasses a day. The plant is also good for retained placenta in both humans and animals.  Removes placenta, and relaxes uterine muscles. Smash the leaves, mix with water and drink. 
For boils, it is baked over a fire and used to burn the boil with it. 
 For earaches, two drops of juice from the leaves are squeezed into both ears (even the uninfected one).
For other inflammations, the leaves are placed directly on hot charcoal to heat the leaves. The heated leaves are rubbed on the affected areas.
