For pneumonia, A handful of pounded roots is boiled in a liter of water for 10-15mins. The mixture is drunk at intervals during the day. Alternatively, fresh roots are washed in cold boiled water. After washing, it is chewed and the juice is swallowed. It is also good for tonsils
For Kidney related conditions, the roots are boiled in 3 liters of water, 1 glass taken thrice a day after meals. 
Leaves or root barks are chewed for bleeding gums.
