The plant is used for rectal prolapse. It is crushed, soaked in water and the patient sits on it. They can also be given to drink.
It is also boiled in 3 glasses of water and taken 1 glass in the morning before meals for 3 days for roundworms and other intestinal worms.
For fungal infections, the leaves of the plant are pounded and applied onto affected areas after shaving
For mouth thrush, the pounded leaves are soaked in warm water and the liquid is gaggled after meals twice a day.
