The plant has been used by different communities in the management of conditions like anemia, and measles among other diseases. For anemia, 2 pieces of the bark are boiled in 1/1/2 liters of water for 30-40mins. 1glass is taken thrice daily after meals for 21 days. Alternatively, a tablespoon of powder is mixed with 4 glasses of water and left for 10-15 mins. The decoction is then taken, a glass twice a day for 21 days.
