The plant is used for the treatment of mouth sores. A handful of leaves are crushed and added to a ΒΌ glass of cold water. Cotton wool is used to apply the juice onto the gums/sores.
The leaves are crushed and wrapped in a banana leaf to treat headaches. it is then heated over the fire. The parcel is unwrapped and the warm Lantana leaves are pressed against the forehead until the pain disappears.
For general stomachaches, 3-4 leaves are chewed and swallowed.
