The plant has been used by different communities to manage conditions like Whooping cough, Toothache, Renal disorders, Frequent thirst, Diarrhea, Constipation, and depressed breast milk flow.
For whopping cough, a handful of root barks are boiled in 3 glasses of water for 15 minutes, filtered and taken,1/2 glass twice a day for 3 days
