It is used in the treatment of wounds. The juice from the leaves is applied on the wound.
The plant is also an insect repellant and has been used to drive away ants and other biting insects.
It is also used in the management of conditions like Hemorrhoids, Herpes zoster Measles, and Pubic Lice. A handful of leaves are soaked in warm water and used to wash the affected areas. It has also been used for the management of skin conditions like acne and pimples.
