The plant is used for the treatment of arthritis. A handful of the leaves is boiled in 1 liter of water for 15 mins. 1tsp of honey is added and 1 glass of the resulting concoction is taken twice a day for 2 weeks after meals. Alternatively, 1 tsp of the grounded leaves, bark, or roots is boiled in a liter of water for 10-15 mins. It is cooled, 1/2 a glass, is filled with 1/2 a glass of bone soup to make a glass and taken twice a day for 14-21 days.
